So I have a 2ft tank I've set up for my american cichlid fries, and there's like a hundred or so of them in there. They just learnt to swim this morning and by now in the evening they're swimming around quite happily.
What I notice though, is that some of them seem to prefer to cluster together - even before being able to actually swim, whilst there are a number that is quite happy exploring around by themselves.
Is this early indications of future personalities, or is this just sorta your average cichlid behaviour?
