Fry housing question.

I'm using a plastic storage bin to house my fry.I'm using an air stone and air pump for this tank.
My question is Does the air stone air stream hurt the fry?Is it o.k to run this tank without a filter for a few weeks?

I personally wouldn't run it with out a filter. A sponge filter will work. There is a couple of DIY threads on making a air operated filter.
