My convict pair has laid eggs under a log in my 125. Is there any chance the fry will make it in that tank. Stocklist is a mix of juvies and a couple big guys, including: 11 inch Oscar, 11 inch GT, 11 inch JD, 8 inch Godmani, 5 inch Jag, 4 inch Argentea, two 3 or 4 inch Firemouths, and a 4 inch RT. I am doubting they will, but I wonder if anyone has experienced fry living in a community cichlid setting.

I have had MANY cons breed in heavily stocked tanks. At least a few will make it under the rocks and deco. But they could be eaten it all depends. My parrots are habitual fry eaters. If you have an issue it will be the jag and the jd....Give me a call sometime :)

I'd guess that you'll lose the whole lot long before they got large enough to survive in that tank. Syphon up as many of the free swimmers as you can and set up a quick 10 gallon fry tank with sponge filter.
