I'm curious why you don't just raise yours up? That's part of the pleasure taken in having a big fish - having raised it. It can't be growing that slowly...

It's size makes it difficult to feed, I have to baby him a little, he can't eat the big food like the rest of the fish, and the other fish eat like pigs while I make sure he eats enough.
You could also place his food in a jar thats kept in your tank, that way he is the only one who can reach it.
