For sale: Brand new custom 450-gallon Oceanic Reef Ready aquarium 30" wide x 96" length x 36.75" height. (drilled with two overflows.) The tank is in the back of my store here in Bowling Green,KY. It would have to be picked up but we can get it loaded on a truck or trailer. It weighs about 1,000 pounds. It comes with the 36" height Oceanic plywood stand they recommend to guarantee it. I also have an oak cosmetic skirt I made for the original tank. This tank has a painted steel frame for strength. It's a very well made tank.
Here's the deal, this tank was a replacement tank for a 450-Oceanic EuroBraced that leaked after it was set up about 1.5 years. There must have been some weakness in the EuroBracing because they replaced it with the steel frame. Eurobracing is thick glass strips siliconed to the inside top lip of the tank in place of plastic frames. Current dealer cost on an Oceanic 450 drilled tank/dual overflow tank is $4,112.14. The plywood stand is $529.53.
I'm asking $4,000 for the tank, stand, and oak skirt. The left side panel of the oak skirt is 25.5" wide x 96" and the right side is 32.75" wide x 96" high. They could be flipped and switched. It has a total of 18 raised panel doors that cost over $50 each. All 12 front doors open but the side panels are fixed. It's a man's project to move and set this bad boy up, but it's one hell of a tank at below dealer cost. Just send PM.
