Be careful shipping it, with out looking this up to be sure I am right, I think some states prohibit them getting shipped across their state lines or their sale with in the state. California and Florida in particular stand out in my mind, but other states may or may not have rules too.

Austin's turtle page is full of incorrect information. These turtles grow pretty slow compared to most others and an adult is NOT anything to be kept in captivity. A serious exit strategy has be looked at within 5-7 years with these. Even the most experienced keeper needs a real outdoor enclosure.
