I have an awesome bowfin, but im afraid i might now be able to upgrade to a bigger aquarium soon enough. Right now he is about 7" and in a 55g, but i suppose that in 5 months he will need something bigger. I bought it from a licensed LFS at 2". Right now hes feeding on . . . pretty much anything, market shrimp, blood worms, pellets and algae wafers. He has eaten a 5" Belonsox Belizanus so tankmates are not safer. I have hand feed him since he was young, but of course still bites my fingers haha. I would like to trade for a filter, pc light bulbs or whatever else. Or I would like to sell a breathable plastic bag with cycled water in it for $20 and ill throw him in for free with the bag. Please PM me, as I can never keep up with these threads. Im having a green water problem due to the 20000k lights i have, so no pics for awhile.
