I will be donating 1 post to every piece of driftwood, this is done for ease and to prevent any type of confusion. (not to raise my post count) When purchasing list the post number(s) you want.
If you like any particular piece, but I already sold it, let me know and I'll find something similar to it for you.
Shipping is available. Smaller pieces will be shipping in USPS flat rate boxes (9$) Shipping is extremely reasonable even for larger pieces. Most pieces can fit in a flat rate box. Bigger the wood, more expensive the shipping. I can fit multiple pieces in 1 box. Pieces are carefully packed and surrounded by packing peanuts.
I will ship every Monday and Thursday. Paypal only.
Pickup is also available in Central Jersey or Greenpoint Brooklyn.
Note: The driftwood will still float and tanins will still leech into the water when you receive it. Simply weight it down with fishing line and secure it to large rocks or decor. Tanins will not harm your fish, they will only give your water a brown-ish tint for a few days/weeks. Google it to find out more.
*The reason the pieces will not sink is because I bake them again before shipping. This is done only to keep shipping low. If you want the pieces to sink as soon as adding them, let me know. If you only plan on getting smaller pieces, I will make sure they are water-logged before shipping.
The cleaning process:
1.) Strip off the big stuff, power-washed if necessary (most are)
2.) scrub under hot water.
3.) bake at 425 for 8+ hours
4.) boil for 5+ hours
5.) scrub again
6.) bake again
7.) Rinse and air-dry
Large pieces are not baked as they won't fit in the oven. Boiling water is poured over them multiple times however.
*Everything is obo unless noted otherwise. Discounts available for multiple pieces.
*I will trade for equipment and most fish.
