What's the min tank size for these guys? I know they get fairly large but don't move much.

They get about 12-14", and I say a 40breeder at the minimum, so they have room to turn around in. I wouldn't go anything smaller than a 40 breeder. Also, have a good canister filter, as these eat like pigs too, and create a lot of waste.

thy get alot bigger than that....don't know size but my buddy had a twenty inch one in a 500g tank

The origin size is correct, 12" or so

They don't need that big of space..... My 7-8" lives in a 600 gallon tank
And never move from the right front corner spot lol. I have another one in a 40 gallon and liver perfectly on its own
