these piranhas stay nice and small, compared to most other piranhas, maxing out in the 7" range. also, they are less skittish, territorial, aggressive, and more active than alot of piranha tanks...i have em in a 55g and they are quite active, swimming around most of the day. you could probably get away with a 55g, though 75g+ would be ideal.
the eat just about anything, including flake, feeders, pellets, seeds, more of an omnivour diet than most other p's. another bonus is, besides being voracious eaters, they eat from any level of the tank, including off gravel.
all 8 are in the 4"-5" range.
you can also schoal silver dollars with them, no problems. mine have been with a handful of silver dollars for several months.
