My particular fish have their first birthdays in the early fall- Sept, approx.- the largest is now pushing three inches and the smallest is about 2 inches. I bought them from a breeder in the north at less than an inch long.
They are doing very well- eat like pigs, seem to be easy keepers all the way around. I have decided to let them go b/c I have other baby fish I want to keep, and not enough adult tank space. At this point they have not shown much aggression- I'm hoping to rehome them before they get the desire to start trouble!
I checked some sites and the common price a tthis size seems to be around $12 each- I'm willing to negotiate. I have never shipped fish, so I would prefer a pick up, but if you have experience and can walk me through shipping, I'll do it. I've had plenty shipped to me!
