Hey you might want to save yourself the trouble and just saw your stand down to size. I just did it with my 220 stand, making it fit a 125. You can definitely add some strength by building a 2x4 skeleton within it, you would be surprised at how crappy and flimsy those pre-built stands are. Just a thought bud, if its not for you good luck with the trade.
