ftc wont eat

hi my new 9inch rtc fedd well for the firs week now he is not interstd has not eaten since mon on mon he ate a salmon fillet nothing since i feed him during the day should i wait till night lights come on please help

Sounds like he is full. Why dont you wait a week or even two and then try feeding it something smaller?

Give him time to come round and digest then he should be fine.

a fish filet is a good meal for a rtc. give it a few days to get digested. Also, most catfish are nocturnal hunters and prefer to eat at night. you can try feeding a few pellets at night to see if it takes them

I agree you'll know when he/ she is ready to eat again . and I always fee mine in the evenind about an hour b4 going to bed and right b4 the lights go out in the tank.Got my little rtc to feed and it's only day 2.

you should really try to feed in smaller pieces and the everyother day plan is good and feeding before you go too sleep.. when i had a RTC i used to toss in some shirmp pieces and turn off the light and go to sleep... GL with urs
