Does anyone know a lot about Fugu puffers.

My wife wants to get one but we have no idea about what the water parameters are like the ph , temp , salinity level , what is best for their diet and the ideal tank size.

Are they brackish or fresh water ?

Do you need to trim the teeth ?

How big do they get ?

How aggressive are they ?

Would it attack our snowball pleco ?

Thanks for help in advance

I know they've been showing up as freshwater lately, but my research shows them being full saltwater.

They are a very aggressive, marine, temperate water species, best kept in the low 70s/upper 60s (F).

Fugus are a nightmare. Don't get me wrong, they're lovely, but hard work. I've got one I've had for some time at 1.020 and 20 degrees C. I wouldn't put them with any other fish, it'll get eaten. I feed mine on bloodworm and cockles mainly. The cockles keep the teeth down, if you smash it so he has to chew through it. My little guys around 7" or so, which talking to others seems a bit big, 6" tends to be about average. I keep him in a 4ft filtered with a G6.

I'm talking about t. occellatus btw! Guessing that's the one you mean?
