Have to sell this guy unfortunately. Very beautiful fish...gold on top with white speckles and 3 black bars on the body. The tail is reddish orange at the tip. Fish is eating well on fresh market shrimp and an occasional feeder. Currently being kept in a lightly brackish tank. This fish gets to 6" and turns silver with white spots as an adult. Here's a pic of the adult

where in the bay r u?

can these guys go without brackish water???

Im in Sunnyvale. I know alot of places sell these things are freshwater fish and they are often kept in freshwater tank. Wes used to have his in freshwater too at the store I believe. If you are going to keep it in fresh, I would recommend keeping the ph high like 7.8-8.2 and add a bit of salt ( 1 tablespoon per 5-10 gallons of water ).
