I think in Japan they eat several different species of Puffer fish, so generalizing in this sense doesn't help, although its arguable, that all puffers contain toxin's just depends which specific type...

All puffers are toxic if you eat them. The Takifugu species aren't BW.

If your talking about fugu...aka tiger puffer. They are the same thing of what they eat in Japan. Scary, but looks good!
