every body tells me that a reddevil, texas or buttikofori wouldent do good in a 40 long byitself but would a frontosa by itself do good bytiself in a 40 gallon long

i dont think so i mean frontosas get about 16inches max there pretty big i think a 60 is a minimum for a frontosa but thats just my opinion

No, a single front would not be very comfortable in a 40 long, I say that because they get to large, and my LFS has a 14in front in a 40 long right now and it looks huge in there, and looks very uncomfortable.

Do you have a full grown front?
If you got that kind of cash to throw around get a bigger tank.
If your buying a juvie to grow out you could keep him in a 40 for a year maybe two while he is growing.
If youre really set on the 40g being a lifetime home stick to a fish that hits 8"max
