Hello, I'm new to the forum, I was just curious to know how large a male thai silk gets? I got mine October 2015 at just under an inch and now he's about 6.5 inch, just wanted to know when I should see him stop growing ? sorry for the ****ty pic

I think they get around 10"/12" if you look through the threads someone has posted some pics of their full grown one and it's a beauty! Yours looks very similar

Yes a foot or so give or take. My fader wasn't the alpha but when he got to be the alpha he exploded and now is 12" easily and so girthy.
Thai silks will get that big as well I've seen them

It all depends that size tank might take a little more longer at 50 gallons I grow mine out in a 200 gallon. A year should hit grown size but fish don't stop growing I had a Midas at 12" which I thought was maxed out but kept growing to 15.5" slowly over 6-7 years
I would say he will be fine until then, it depends on his growth, you will just have to use your own judgment as to when he needs an upgrade, personally when you see he's reaching the width of the tank that's when it's defiantly time see what others suggest
