Lovely Trimac!! It's very difficult to get them here in ireland But I used to have an adult male in the shop I worked in as a show fish. It was 14 inches and quite tame! Yours is awesome and should really grow over the next year, can't wait to see it when it gets big!

One question, Is the water not a bit on the hard side with all that rock? If thats Tufa or coral rock in there (the white one) I'd take it out as high PH and Mineral content can help bring on Hole in the head disease if your fish carries the disease , which many do, even healthy specimens. Do you know your PH and hardness??

no tap water here is ph 8.4-8.6 and trimacs are found every where from 6.6 to full marine so ph should not be a problem. the only fish i had a problem with hith is oscars. the coolest thing is this fish started life in the varry tank he swims in. my old pair the male killed the female and i gave the male to mad about cichlids. heres a pic
