Hey everyone and anyone,
Today GMT+0 9:00AM i will be doing a full water change, new filter pads, new gravel (sand i was thinking) and a full clean of the tank.
My only problem is is that the tank is meant to be left to bacterialise or what ever its called for 1 week, the problem is, i don't have this amount of time to do this.
The most amount of time i can have the fish out of the new clean tank is 1 day or maybe 2 days,
Can anyone help me with a solution of which i can fully clean my tank and have it ready within 1/2 days for fish to use.
Thanks for all the help.

why do you have to clean he filters? and why not save some of the water . in buckets or something .. and keep he dirty filers ... would be your best bet

Yeah, the problem is, i have to change the filter pads because they are filled with crap from my Green away i bought for the green water, but my tank needs a big clean, that's why im giving it 5/6 hours to clean, then 1/2 days to get ready.
Do you suggest any chemicals for the tank help it stabalise faster and be ready for the fish faster. Thanks for any suggestions.

i switched by 150 over to sand .. just kept the filter .. and about 1/2 the water in the tank .. didnt have a problem .. not even a mini cycle .. just kept running like always ..

i would say keep he dirty pads ... and put them on the new tank .. let them run for 2 days .. then swich out the pads after that ..

I have some technique for that... just wash off those dirty crap from your filter pads using the water from your tank... Save as much as 30% or more of the water from old tank then add it to your newly cleaned tank... after you set up your new cleaned tank, minimize your feedings for it can quickly pollute the water in no time...
After 2-3 weeks, that's the time you can replace your filter pad...

is this a new tank? seems like it needs cycled which would explain your need to use chemicals for green water. why do you have to have fish in it so quickly? seems like it's bad things waiting to happen, i'd go get some bio-spira to help things out if you're dead set on your current path
