fully aquatic turtles?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There really aren't too many fully aquatic species out there that won't nip/kill fish no matter what the size is. Besides FRT the only other somewhat common, basically fully aquatic species would be softshells and most of them are very predatory with fish. Not to mention they can get BIG.

Western spiny softshells get about 6-8'' depending on male/female.
I've never owned them or kept them with fish though.

Matamata and snappers are some others.

No turt is 100% aquatic. Even sea turts and all the other species still need land to lay eggs;)
