Fumes from waterproofing basin

I'm planning to waterproof the wooden fence I have around the tank.
But is the smell of the waterproofing safe with turtles?

Since my turtle is always sleeps on his dock now and has his nose against the wood.

If you an smell it, your turtle can smell it. Glue it outdoors or in an open garage if you can and let it dry in the fresh air. Put your turtle in something else while you wait for it to dry.

IF you get anything that doesnt have any labels stating they are harmful, then they are harmful. If they harm you they harm your turtle. Try to use marine type waterproofers they use for boats, I always use them to seal or waterproof my enclosures.
