Before when I use to breed large cichlids in a glass tank the female is usually get killed by the male. So I think that I Had to get rid of this problem. So I think of breeding this large species (oscar, red devil, green terror, quetzal, bifasciatum, etc.) in a larger thank that can provide the female a room to retreat and can give both pair the privacy they need. Since glass is expensive I made a 2 meter by 1.5 meter by 1 meter (LxWxH) concrete pond and I put a huge broken pot on one of the corner. When the pond is ready I put my first trial pair, that was a pair of red devil. In just exactly 7 days after, I saw wiggling babies in the very corner of the pond just outside the broken pot. I removed the babies and raised them on a glass thank. After that first sucessfull trial I always do it that way.
