By no means am I saying this is a standard scenario, but it is what I recently experienced. One of my male red terrors got whooped up on pretty good. Alhumdolillah i didn't loose him. All his scales came back and his fins nearly fully regenerated. His tail fin is almost healed BUT the regrowth doesn't have the blue spangling that it did prior to damage. That's what i get for keeping a show fish in community tank. It would be nice if one day the spots miraculously reappear. I am just thankful that he is still with us today
