Went in search of ideas for the new 55... Just wow. They have some gorgeous polys. I saw two laps and an endli... the laps were maybe 11 or 12 inches long for $59.99 and the endli was a little over a foot at $49.99. Are those fair prices? I almost fell in love with the endli... I wanted to bring him home so bad. They had the same ornate there that was in the tank when I bought mine - my lil one has gotten quite a bit bigger than theirs. Guess I'm doing something right. I know you can't put polys together if their size differences are too great... so theres probably no way in hell I could put that endli with my 7 inch senegals is there?? Also one more thing... they had it in a tank with african cichlids. Is that doable at all? I know the cichlids need a higher pH... won't that hurt the polys? I was thinking of doing cichlids... and i was thinking of going on the poly quest... but if I could do both, that'd be awesome. Any thoughts?

The lap is a bit expensive, but still ok. For the endli, it's a good price if they really are endlicheri's. Combining smaller and larger polypterus isn't adviseble, but I have see many people do it. They tend to watch for agression a little it more.
About cichlids, Ornates come from lake Tanganjika, so the can handle a little bit higher pH. For the rest of the bichirs I am not shure, you could try it, but keep testing the water and checking the fishes health.
