DANG! I feel so dumb! I had to leave for a long weekend and could only give a silver dollar I recently purchased a short quarantine!!

After I came back I noticed cottony fungus on his fins while doing a water change and really small dots of it on a few of the other fish!

Should I use salt and temp or melafix?

Can I use this python for W/C's on my other tanks today or would that spread the spores? If I cant, should I clean it or how long before It becomes usable again!

salt and heat for the ich and jungle fungus cure for the fungus.

This isn't really fungus. Most of the supposed fungal infections turn out to be bacterial infections. Use Maracyn here.

Dang, I was in class after the first post so I didnt see your post Lupin.

I bought some Pimafix and API fungus cure. The Fungus cure treats fin rot and it seemed there was some on the silver dollar so it might be a bacterial. Im going to treat with the fungus cure because it takes only two treatments and see what happens.

Is my Python O.K to change water on other tanks????

I've started the second dose of API Fungus cure and good news! my loaches are alive!

I've also added salt and bumped the temp up to 86* for the ich. This is at the same time as the fungus cure so I hope there are no compatibility problems. Im just making sure everything is well aerated.

Found an extra python hose at petsmart on sale for $6 so I grabbed it up and used that for the other tanks W/C just to be sure!
