I have a 2 year old, 9 inch female Flowerhorn which was moved this past Sunday, December 23rd, into a 125 gallon tank. Monday her kok appeared to be “peeling” for lack of a better description... today it is fuzzy. I believe it is a fungus but I am looking for advice or reassurance! Water parameters aware ideal and other than the move- nothing else has changed. I did add salt and melafix when she was moved and today added a fungus medication. Below are pictures.

I agree, that certainly is a Fungal infection. Since currently it is limited to the nuchal hump possibly a result of an injury.
The move might have accelerated the situation due to stress.
The only other thing that comes to mind is that the fungus is a secondary infection to a bacterial infection. I hope that's not the case. All I've ever had to do reference healing fungus was to specifically concentrate on water maintenence. Your case is very advanced so I would advise going the anti-fungal med route, hoping it's not Columnaris. Good luck., she's a beautiful FH.

If salt treatment doesn't work: I doubt you can get it at your local LFS (unless you're in Asia), but if you could maybe find online I'd highly suggest OF (Ocean Free's) 'Flowerhorn Disease Away' or even better their 'Arowana 'O' (natural based wide spectrum treatment that can be used for Aro, stingray, FH, etc.). I'm going to start some threads about these in another sub-forum in near future, but they work and they don't harm your fish/beneficial bacteria.

A couple of months ago we moved to a new house (and my Flowerhorn got a brand new and bigger 115 gallon tank to go into). But because of the stress of moving + maybe new well water, the day after moving he got some (likely fungal) growth coming out of one his nostrils. I treated with 'Disease Away' and the next day it was gone and hasn't come back since.

Good luck and hope she heals up soon!

I am treating the tank with both a fungal med and a broad spectrum antibiotic in case it is Columnaris... I also added more salt this morning. The fuzz is starting to fall off in chunks... gross looking! But I am hoping it is a good sign. :)

I've never seen anything quite like that before. Really good move to dose antibiotics.
