Well my freind has 2 guppies in a 3 gallon tank. She said that there was white foam stuff hanging off of it. i imidetly knew it was fungus. She said she was using tetra parasite guard. i told her to ask her parents to do a 50% water change. i also said to add salt that was not idized to the tank. I told her to add one tea spoon of salt per gallon. I also said to buy test strips. anyboudy Know anything about it. It was hanging off the fishes butt. any other ideas to help treat the fish.

Your friend was doing a more accurate treatment than what you suggested. It sounds like it is parasitic. There are many discussions on this and its treatments on here at MFK. Find one and read it. But Parasite Guard worked well for me a while back.
And yes, continue to do water changes and salt.

What type of parasite. I really thought it was a fungal infection. What could of caused this to happen.
well uve been under fire the past few weeks. But really pics work better if you want help and waiting to post pics will only cause the fish more harm the longer u wait
Well my friend says it is getting better. The pics are kind of bury. It was hard to identify it. It is not my fish. I only have tanks 30-75 gallons. If i wanted to trick you I would make a convincing story. I am smart. I have no intention to lie. They are not my fish.
