My sister has a baby Oranda along with a couple other fancy goldfish. The little Oranda got stuck in an ornament. Scraped himself up pretty bad around the face area. I gave her some melafix and salt and told her to use that.
I took my son out there to spend the night and looked at the fish. He has white and black fungus growing on the open wounds. I told her to keep medicating and if it doesn't get better we are going to have to euthanize him.
What do you guys think?

how large is the tank and how many gold fish do you have in it?

stress will make the fish heal much slower so i recommend doing the following:

frequent water changes
add some aquarium salt, I would go with 1 teaspoon per gal for now,
reduce feeding, it will temporarily help with water parameters (most fish can go weeks with out eating with no permanent side effects)
less light in or over the tank
if you use medications like melafix get some help with it, find out dosages etc, most all curable injuries are taken care of with salt and time (sometimes heat) medications in the hands of the inexperienced are often worse than the initial injury

if the fish does not get better in a week or so euthinizing it may be kinder than to continue to let it suffer

I would be willing to be with multiple gold fish your water parameters are a bit off.

my 2 cents

It's a 20 gallon and there is only one other fancy goldfish in there. And a juvie dwarf frog. The fish are only about 2" long including tail.

I don't have the exact parameters, it's my sister's tank. But, I do know she does do 40% water changes every week.
I will call and see if I can get the test results you request.
