THE GARDEN STATE
i rescued a sick soft shelled turtle the other day with a mild case of fungus on the carapace. in the past i've treated turtle fungus with mild salt and sulfa blocks by tetra and it seemed to work. Does anybody have a better way to treat the fungus? thanks in advance.

i would do the same thing again...if you want to be more agressive you could also dip the turtle

a cheap dip would be to buy several blocks and crush them totally in a vat of water then let your turt in it for awhile.

I have used neosporin to stop the spread of the fungus. I take the turtle out of the water and dry the effected area. I smear a little neosporin on there and put them back in the water. I also raise the temp a few degres and added about two tablespoons of salt for every 5 gal. Got rid of that in no time.
