I lost 2 ropefish already. Their slime coats seem to have come off on most of their body and they had hair like fibers on these areas. It looked dark and smothe with little hairs.
They were in a 40 breeder with my smaller bichirs. I still see what appears to be a fungus like substance on my ornate, delhzi and retro's head body and gills. Been treating with Mardel maroxy for fungus, day 3 of treatment and no improvement. Have raised temp to 82 from 80F and added a bubbler yesterday. Have also added salt, cant recall how much honestl, but a decent amount daily.
Readings are 7.0- 7.2ph, ammo 0, nitrates almost 0 and nitrites almost 0. I have many floating plants that look like duckweed and ever since my levels have always been tame. Any tips or suggestions before i loose any one else?
