So I was feeding my community tanks with some flake food, and thought I'd toss a couple flakes into the shortnose/bluegill tank just to see if the bluegill would eat it. To my surprise, they attacked it with gusto. Very nice to see them eating flake for the first time. Now if I can just get them onto pellets....
Anyway, just to see, I dropped some flakes in my 125g tank, to see if my dat, snook, or pike would go after any. The snook ate a few pieces, then just looked at me. The next thing I know, my lighter colored Florida gar is at the surface, snapping at every little flake it can see!
I have to say, watching a 13" florida gar eating flake food is one of the funniest things I've ever seen!
