Was watching my fish swim today and noticed a funny. My 15 cm sailfin plec was sticking to the glass at one end of the tank. Now every now and then my jar does laps of the tank at the bottom. He would swim around get to the end of the tank where the plec was, see the plec, Sh*t himself, try to back up then after a bit of hesitation swim past the plec at top speed.:ROFL::ROFL: 45cm jar is scared of my 15cm pleco:screwy:

Oh well at least he issnt trying to kill the pleco. This jar has been good. Lived 3 years with 4 15cm clown loaches (they died due to me being lazy on my W/C's) Bristlenoses, small corys. Only thing he has eaten was a peppermint bristlenose. Right now he lives with a 15cm sailfin plec, 4 flyingfox and 5 khuli loaches all for cleaning after his messy eating habits.:grinno:

big jars don't go after really small fish its not about luck
like when i used to put feeders for my cats in the tank the jar never used to harass any and doesn't eat any live fish he eats only market prawn, earthworms, shrimp, and crickets

YES! Exactly! I have a 16"-17" Jardini that wont harm a fly. Never touches my silver at around 6"-7" or any other tankmates. Funny thing too happened today, I decided to give my arowanas a treat of some 3/4"-1" crickets and when he saw them he freaked out but still ate them. :D
The silver was gobbling a lot too.

Yea now that he is bigger he seems to be lazy. Will eat anything that is easy to eat like will eat slow fish but anything that requires a chase he will rather eat dead fish.

My 19" Jar will eat or kill anything in his 200gal tamk. Consider yourself lucky
