Funny marks

Can anybody give me some suggestions what these marks are? He gets them occasionally and they heal and he gets them again!? He always seems happy enough feeding playing etc but I just want to make sure I know if its something to worry about or not, thanks for your help

No, my ornate does but I have a heater guard so it's ok, he has been getting them since I had him about a year ago

Do u have a pleco or flag tail tankmate? Maybe somebody sucking slime coat off.

He lives with a large featherfin syno, a red tail shark, a bgk, a ornate bichir and a spotted climbing perch

Synos and labeos loves to rasp on bichirs slime just like some species of plecos. Best to remove them or separate the bichir. Used to have a sailfin syno and a black shark that would rasp on my gars and bichirs.

it's gotta be the syno. Get rid of it!
