I currently have 3 RBP's (3.5 inches) that I keep in a 75 Gallon tank...I've been trying my hardest to switch them over to pellets but nothing really worked. So randomly on Thursday I decided to get a 4th RBP, but that didn't turn out so well (half of the ones in the LFS tank had missing eyes...) so I decided to purchase a Red Bellied Pacu (5 or 6 inches). So this morning I decided to put a pellet in the tank to see what happened, not only did the Pacu eat it, the RBP's ate the ones I gave them...

Talk about peer pressure lol I've attached some photos of the Pacu below

the old follow the leader trick! i've heard of it working with other type of fish.

a pacu? hope you know what you're doing. here's a quote about growth rate

with half way decent water quality and food, you can expect a pacu to reach around 16" in that first year. at 6-8" expect them to hit an alarmingly fast growth spurt. they will balloon up from that 6-8 to a whopping 16+ in just a month or two. you can LITERALLY see them grow from day to day. ive raised 5 pacu from the size of a quarter, and 1 from around 6" with 4 more growing out right now, so i speak from first hand experience.

thanks for that tip, my friend & I are getting a bigger tank & putting both of the Pacu's in it together....hopefully they mate if we have male & female

i've heard they're like those instant monster things where you just add water and boom, it's 1000000 times it's original size. hahaha

Yeah I heard lol the one my friend has is huge as hell, it's a nice blue grayish color, looks real nice. I'm still amazed at how since I've had the Pacu the vibe in the tank has changed with the 3 RBP's I have....a very interesting thing to see.

My smaller columbian shark will only eat if the bigger one starts eating.
