I moved my wild caught cons into a tank with a bunch of fish. They are usually the smallest. But in this tank, they are the biggest. I have a pair of pinks in the tank also. Right before I moved the wilds in, the pinks had just bred. They did not fertilize the eggs properly this time (they usually do just fine) and only 5 survived.....I noticed the wilds flaring at the pinks, and thought nothing of it. Then I noticed the wilds were "protecting" their pot, and immediately assumed they laid eggs. I go over and look, and they stole 4 out of the five pink fry....

Spizz that is crazy man! And Damn that WC Convict is super tight! I really didn't like convicts until recently and I have to say yours is a 100% mind changer! Very nice. I have never seen one that beautiful.

thats funny, ive had fish take care of babies that were not theirs aswell, i used to have a pair of severums that would breed alot but the male was infertile and we never got babies from them, then one day after they had spawned i was in a lfs and they had some dime sized severums so we got 3 just to see if they would survive. the next morning i went to check on the tank and the female was protecting the babies it was pretty neat
