Funny thing in the mouth - Oscar tooth?

I have about a 5" Oscar that acts very healthy. Active swimmer and excellent appetite. For the past couple months I have seen this white bump looking thing just inside his mouth. It kind if looks like a tooth. I will add some pictures but have no idea whether I should be concerned.

Looks like a healed wound that has overgrown skin.
