So I bought 3 more clown loaches so I have 6 now. But lately I have only have been seeing 5 out and about, 6 every once and awhile. So I was doing maintenance on the tank and I move a rock and I saw one of the loaches trying to swim under it. There was food under the rock and the clown loach was trying to get it. It was pretty funny seeing it try to do that. I guess thats why their clowns. I really like these fish more and more every day. I'm about to go to petco and buy some of the sick ones. I'm going to see if I can put them in a separate quarantine tank and try and get them healthy

I cant blame you i have a love for clown loach i now have a group of 18:

1x 10"
4x 8-9"
6x 7"
4x 5"
3x 4"

They are the most amazing things to watch especially in such a big shoal they are so active and characterful always playing with each other.
I respect you for buying ill ones but be careful you don't want the healthy ones getting ill!

most awesome fish ever!

Yea id don't have as close to as big as yours. My biggest is like 4 inches. I was going to buy some loaches from my petco a few weeks ago because they had a spot, but decide not to because I didn't want to kill the rest of my clowns. Now I have a special quarantine tanks so I can buy sick ones in hope of them getting better in the quarantine tank

i got this little oddball from petsmart. one of the most unique patterns ive seen!!!

Mine disappear every night around 10-11pm. Doesn't matter if I leave the lights on or not. First time I noticed I thought they all got eaten...but they reappeared the next morning. Finally I figured out - apparently my largest piece of drift wood is hollow and there's a small entrance/exit (no more than 1.5" wide and 0.5" tall). All my clowns go in there at almost exactly the same time every night.

They are getting bigger and bigger and I'm starting to worry about them getting stuck inside...will have to seal it soon.

I would explain to Petco that they are sick and try to get a discount on them. It's worth a shot. If no discount, they should atleast throw in the Meds for free.

Just picked the only two they had. My Dad was with me and I told my Dad I was going to get sick fish and try to take care of them. When my dad ask the fish guy if they were sick the guy said yea and that they are probably going to die soon. All this happened while the guy was bagging the fish. The fish aren't in to bad a shape. One has a little bit of ick. Im just going to go with salt, high temp, good feeding and hope for the best.
