i got some 2 incher NTT's in a tank with huge full grown oscars, and it's funny because the smallest dat is so brave to nip at the larger oscars that could eat them! i never seen such a tiny fish mess with a large one, guess that's why they call them tigers...only other fish i seen like this are saltwater triggers i had they would nibble on my lions..lols.

naw, the oscars are into themselves, they fight a lot. these oscars are strange too they don't eat live food! i bought them goldfish once last month and they never ate them so i had to take out the goldfish. i left one gold fish in there and it's just growing...i also have a bunch of 1-2" clown loaches...
i guess it's from the way the oscars acclimated, and there are driftwoods so there's plenty of hiding room.
i'm more worried about how aggressive the dats are gonna be when they grow older. and i want MORE dats too.

lol! i don't know i just had to post this, i should make a youtube of it. i never seen a little fish mess with a bigger one like that...it's like the tiger dat was hunting the big oscars. and the oscars are so big it can't tell which side they coming from..but the dat was underneath...

What are you feeding the NTTs? I'm curious because I have CA Cichlids that are on pellets but the NTT will only eat blackworms (which the Cichlids also eat!). So I am not sure how I am going to feed the NTTs without the Cichlids eating it first.

the pellets stay float on the top and are gone before the smaller fish get any...i usually mix in sinking bottom feeder pellets also...
