I currently have an adult male nimbocrombis fusco in my 125 gal ( he is sweet!!!). I just pick up a baby male nimbocrombis venestus, and he is currently is a 29 gal growout tank. Will these fish be able to coexist in my 125, or am I setting myself up for a disaster?

It shouldn't be a problem as long as there's no females for them to fight over. Check closely though b/c individual compatibility is different. If you don't believe me ask my 6in male JD that's in my mbuna tank :oP

HHhmmm.. HArd to say It is well known that Male Vens when adults, that their territory is more than 125 gallons of water :) There is a thread on here showing some adults and in a zoo or LARGE aquarium by large I mean LARGE.. And the terirtory that one male was holding was huge in this tank.... See if I can find it :)

Your fish should not grow to their full size as their growth will be limited by the size of your tank. I presently have a venestus in the same tank as two Nimb. livingstonii. No real problems other than each having a turn chasing the other. These are in a tank of about 185 litres.:naughty:  :headbang2 :nilly:

They will grow to their full size...i dont know what that guy was smoking.:screwy:
