Hi, ive rescued a few mbuna's and a few peacocks and im thinking about putting them together. I know that in terms of water chemistry and behavior they are compatable, the thing im worried about is the diet. Mbuna needs veggie food nd peacock more meatie type.. if theyl be together ill probebly wont succed to prevevnt them from eating eachother food. Do you have an idea how bad is it? I want the best for them so i really want to make sure that this is ok. and also if you hve suggestion how to provide a diet that will be best for both.
ill of course going to do it in a big 400L tank wiht plenty of rocks and hiding places.

A good quality pellet that is not high in protein should be just fine for both fish. I've always used NLS pellets for both Mbuna and Aulonocara with no problems.

Same. I have peacocks and mbuna mixed for years and feed them NLS pellets and have never had an issue.

Did you get them from a labeled tank or just an assorted tank? If they were from an assorted tank they are probably all hybrids, and that makes properly ID'ing them almost impossible.
