The Grotto
This isnt my best video but i just moved this guy from the group he was in to give one of the smaller males a chance with the females and to allow them all to catch up a lil in size. this guy is the last F1 i have from my old pair that i raised from eggs myself, may his dad R.I.P. His siblings were sold off to a few friends and other members on MFK and a bunch of fry was sent to Ira:) the rest of my group includes 6 F0 that still remain in my 180. So this guy is in time out;) lol So i measured him during the transfer and he just barely topped out at 6" his parent were both from Ecuador. To my amazment he has a nice amount of red coming in around his mouth and lips along with it in his spangles on his body. for the longest time he had me confused on his sex with his darn dorsal getting dark from time to time but i decided to pull out the magnifying glass and vent him lol. anyway here he is and ill put up a progression on him from very tiny when i can round up all the pics:)

I see what you're talking about with the black on the dorsal confusing you with regards to his sex. He's a nice, thick boy! How's his aggression? The largest of my growouts that I received about 2 months ago at 1" is about 3" now (about .75" larger than any of his/her siblings) and his aggression is really starting to pick up. Might have to separate him from the pack soon as well!

Thank you Peter:) he was the fastest growing out of all my personal keepers and his agression... lol well he is just a D*ck so i removed him to this 55 to give the other male in my group a chance of pairing out. this guy just liked to dominate and cared less about the females. my smaller wild male was showing courting behavior so i pulled this guy in hopes of letting the smaller male do his thing. and so far i think its working:) if those two pair out then ill pull them and put this guy back in the group to hope for another pair:)

Thank you so Much, hearing that from you means alot:) i tried to track down the genetics and came to the fact that i bought my pair from rapps around the same time you bought your males Dad:) This guy kinda reminds me of your males progression thread you posted, He may not look like yours when hes grown but i know he will lokk great in his own way:) thanks again.
Oh and no need to be jealous, we all live through eachother at different times;)

Thank you Scott:) i do have a couple females for him but he isnt interested now so im giving my other male a shot at pairing out plus giving the females some time to put on a little more size and confidence while he is in the 55:) ive got my fingers crossed for this guy down the road for getting a pair. hopefully he will pair with one of my females so i dont have to hunt another one down;)
 
I hope you can get a couple of pairs from your Festae group. This male looks really nice for 6". You always have something Fishy going on. Good luck with him.

LOL thank you Al:) I hope so too about the multiple pairs. it also looks like i may have another male surfacing in my group that seems to be presenting for the second female;)
