I have been growing these two from 1.5 inch and now they about 4inch. The male is in a 7foot community with all my giants and the female is in a 4 foot with a few Flowerhorns just to get her use to other fish. I'm hoping to get them into my 200gal 6 foot soon, I am just not sure as to how I am going to get them to accept each other as the reason for me separating them was aggression. They are from the same batch but I do not have an option as it is not easy to get dovii in South Africa and the ones I got in are the first I have ever seen. Thanks for viewing. Sorry for the bad pictures.

Congrats on finding them in your part of the world:) definitely look like they'll be very nice. As hard as they are to find for you, I wouldn't worry about them being related:) just keep us posted on their progression as id like to follow them:)

So I got my 6 foot running this weekend. It is a 185 gal tank with a 53 gal sump filter making the total volume 238 gal. I firstly introduced the female with a few smaller Flowerhorns I breed and some small Zonatus cross synspilium as well as 2 baby buttikoferi and a Pleco. I then added the male and they seem to be pairing as they are not killing each other and keeping close bye. They also spend a lot of time in the helicopter ornament. As soon as the pairs bond grows and I know they can live alone I will remove all the dithers I have used. What would you guys think about this tank as a home for the pair for a few years until I upgrade if need be . Will add pics soon.

A full tank shot for the dovii tank. They chilling out in the copter. Sorry for the mirky water. I just added the gravel a few min before I took the picture. I also have a light on the sump as I plan to plant it. Thanks top dog looks like from our import we each got a pair.
