About a month ago I ordered 5 fish from Florida Tropical Fish Direct. I was looking for Festae in Fl, and they actually Pm'd me on here and said they had some available. Well I decided against growing out some festae in order to get a female for my community show tank. I ended up ordering 1 H. Bocourti, 1 H. Pearsei, and 3 HRP's (2f 1m) all around 3". I was planning on growing them all out in a 36g bowfront, and eventually letting the HRP's breed in there once I got a pair formed. Well the fish weren't in there 2 weeks and I noticed eggs and a female HRP trying to kill everything she could. I was thrilled but not prepared at all. So I gave away the extra HRP female to a friend and moved the Bocourti and Pearsei in my 220 once I divided a section with eggcrate. So my question is how long do you think it will be before my new future monsters are 5.5"+? What is an average growth rate for these guys? I feed twice a day with different cichlid pellets, bloodworms once a week, and whatever bits of shrimp and nightcrawlers that my fire eel misses. I do 2x a week 50% WC's. Tank has a 55g sump and a magnum 350 with the foam mod. Nitrates never get over 20ppm. Any 1st hand experience with these guys?
