Remove the fish and castle. If possible change the base to soil base with no fert. Some moss tied to driftwood and you are good to go.:)

These are my shrimp tanks. Keeping them simple so that it's easy to maintain.

The soil help to lower the ph in the water which the shrimp prefer and for better molt. Shrimp can die from difficult molting due to higher ph. Although higher ph do make the shell look good but it will cause the shell becoming too hard to molt thus causes death.

what type of soil do you use?

i dont use soil in my cherries tank but im looking at setting up another for some crystals and will try soil in that

you don't want to lower the pH for cherry shrimp as they prefer neutral to hard water. You lower the pH using soils like ada aquasoil for asian caridina species (CRS/CBS/Tiger shrimp).

I did some more research and a lot of people uses ada aqua soil so i might just mix some with curent gravel. I just was thinking if thers another natural way of lowering PH( not PH down)?Btw i removed trim widouth removing to much water so it can be done
