Hey MFK so my birthday is this upcoming Friday and me being a fish keeper i wanted to do some changes. On Friday il change my stock from a 13 and 7 inch jags and 8 inch JD, to a 2 inch jag and 2 inch JD. As you can see these 2 are indeed my fav cichlids. I know its hit or miss on capability but my fish currently did it so why cant it happen again. Anyways my tank will be looking like...

150 Gallon
2 inch jag
2 inch JD
maybe some other miscellaneous fish (catfish, bichirs, loaches, plecos, big boy barbs, etc) just to see if it works.
Black or dark blue background
Black sand
driftwood galore
those water bamboo reed thingymajigs
white stones (maybe)
a color enhancing bulb as well as a floramax bulb
and a 300 gallon canister filter

quite excited il post a build thread on Friday morning with pics and everything.

Im not sure what im doing with my 13 incher i wanna sell him to someone i know will really take care of the big guy and not give him away. PM if your interested il send you pics of him. I know the MFK community would take good care of him.

ANYWAYS please comments with your thoughts and ideas! Much appreciated!

Congrats! I also agree that jags and JD normally get along finer as long as there are "hiding" places for them (not really a hiding place since these get to be big fish, but a place where their line of sight with one another is broken). Just be sure to keep an eye on potential aggression and remove the aggressor or isolate it. Altering the aqua scape can also work in reducing or eliminating aggression.
