Fuzzy algae

I have never had algae problems before but I added bamboo to my tank I love the way it looks but there is this white fuzzy algae growing on just the bamboo no where else I take out the bamboo and wash it off almost everyday I want to know what it is and how to get rid of it please thank you here is a picture I can get more upon request

This happens to me when I add driftwood that I find without soaking it first. It always goes away after a few weeks in my experiences.

Okay fungus so will it go away and I don't think its because its dying because its dried and already dead

As bamboo decomposes it will release nutrients that will be consumed by fungi. Take it out and boil it or bake it to kill of whatever is there. It will moat likely come back eventually.

It kind of looks like black brush algae on my phone though. If it is then siamese algae eaters will take care of it.
