I am wondering if I can put a fuzzy dwarf lionfish in with my percula clowns. The fuzzy dwarfs are about 1 inch at the store, and my percula clowns are 1.25 and 1.5 inches long. They would all be in a 187 gallon with larger than bite sized fish. The only fish I am wondering about are the 2 percula clowns. Will they be compatible?

the clowns should be fine as long as they aren't juvi's get adults and have them in there first then the lion last

i have a fuzzy dwarf lion in my tank. they have deceptively large mouths and can eat large prey for thier size. the clowns may be safe at the moment, but in the near future as the lion grows it may see the clowns and other fish in your tank as food.
fuzzys have the potential to grow up to 7", its generally smaller, but whats to say your lion wont hit maximum size? like i said, they have the potential to eat prey over half their length. so a 7" fish could eat a 4" one. just so you know...

if your tank is a 187g i would think about getting a few fuzzys. they can do really well in groups (3+) providing there is no aggression... as they are from the same batch, same size, already used to each other ect... there shouldnt be much, and as there would be a few, any agro will be spread amongs the group.

I'll second that. Their stomachs are way bigger than the mouths. My 4" guy would take six inch silver sides and work them until he managed to swallow them completely. For safety, I'd figure on bite sized times 2 or 3. Lions can be voracious. Good Luck!
