I have a few questions about some small gobies. When some of my current things (BBG's breeding, violet goby with tumor) clear up, I plan on making some space in my tanks.
My 210 gallon tank will probably be a brackish paludarium, with 1 violet goby (if the one I have right now dies I will get another one), at least 5 bumblebee gobies (I have five now but I also have eggs), and one or two Indian mudskippers (the reason it will be a paludarium).
The 55 gallon tank will be freshwater with one (maybe two) silver dollar(s), and guppies.
After all of this moving around, the 20 gallon will be empty. I can make it either fresh or brackish.
I've been reading about two different species of goby in particular. They are the Australian desert goby Chlamydogobius eremius, and the white-cheek goby Rhinogobius duospilus, formerly R. wui. What I don't know is, should they be kept in fresh or brackish water? Some sites suggest a brackish environment for the desert goby, but that it usually lives in freshwater. Most sites say that the white cheek goby is freshwater, but Fishbase says that they're also brackish.
I'd also like to know if they'd be compatible with bumblebee gobies (if they're brackish) or Stiphodon gobies (freshwater).
Thanks in advance for any responses. It'll be a while before I even have the room for these gobies.
