Hes about 6inchs and is living in a brackish water and i was wondering could i switch him slowly to freshwater? and if i can when would be the best time yo do it?

He'll be healthier & live longer in BW.
Why not keep him there?

i got a bigger tank and it can be all his but i really want it to be freshwater.

Then you should find this fish a BW home & stock the tank with FW fish. You have a BW fish. Where did it come from?

in this german brackish book it labels some freshwater species of lionfishes but urs is a grunting toadfish wich reqiers brackish water i will find the scientific names of the freshwater species

if anything, depending on the species, it might be better off in salt water than in even brackish

ok ill keep it in brackish water
